Bloom and fleur
this project explores the set design, it’s atmosphere, and mood, for a story i wrote about two fairies named bloom and fleur.
This story is about a fairy named Bloom, who does not go out during the day, only in the evenings to gather seeds and food. She is terrified of talking with others, and the day time is full of other fairies and creatures going about their day. The story is set in the woods and in her home which is covered in flowers, moss and leaves, totally overgrown, yet magical. On one of her evenings out, she hears a sound and runs into another fairy, named Fleur. This terrifies her, but they both come to realize that they have been living very similar lives, only going out in the evenings, terrified of what the day might hold, cultivating their homes with a protection shield of nature. The story takes them on an adventure together throughout the evening, bringing them into daylight. They help each other to start to face their fears of daytime. A friendship is formed.
