tHIS PROJECT GAVE ME THE CHANCE TO LEARN THE PROCESS OF DESIGNING A FABRIC AND HAVING IT PRINTED. i TOOK INSPIRATION FROM MY GRANDMOTHER-kATHARINA-WHO IS AN AMAZING CREATOR and has driven me to want to be a maker in many ways.
The inspiration behind this design is a blend of the bold florals and colour’s of the 1960’s, mixed with the intricate patterns of the Art’s and Craft’s Movement, such as those of William Morris. By using more abstracted shapes and a fresh colour palette, I’ve brought these era’s into the 21’st century.
